Wow! Great article!

I had to chuckle because the leader of the bible based group that I escaped from, would brag that his church didn't have collection plates passing around...which of course gives the impression that $$ isn't something that's important...yeah, right.
Hell, he wanted more than your $$, he wanted your LIFE.

Also, like yourself, I never saw any financial statements of any type in the group I escaped. No accountability.

That's priceless! I think there are a few reasons for not celebrating Christmas,
1) the group wants all positive feelings to come & go to the group & celebrating a holiday w/ family could thwart the control of the organization. they don't want you having good times, good vibes except for those in the borg.
2) MORE $$$$$ to give to the organization! surprise...surprise!!
Now folks aren't buying Christmas presents, wrappings, trim, etc...that is more $$$ now for the group to get their hands on.

Just what I think.....
